8th Annual BSU Metal Students Auction April 7-30th
For the 8th year in a row, R. Grey Gallery is hosting the Boise State University Metal Students Auction. Each brooch or necklace was created by a student in the program, and is available for purchase in the silent auction. The students will be present on Thursday, April 7th from 5-9pm to talk about the inspiration behind each piece and the process it takes to create each element. All proceeds go directly to the metals program for new supplies and equipment. Winning bids are tax deductible.

Robert has a new steel jewelry line that utilizes steel keys, antique furniture nails and railroad date nails in new and exciting ways. These items would normally be discarded or collected, but the jewelry line gives each item a new life and an elegant look. The steel pieces are accented with diamonds and sapphires set in sterling silver, gold and platinum. There are a number of new designs that will be on display at the gallery. Glass Artist Cheyenne Malcolm
Cheyenne Malcolm is a Boise native who has been living and working in Portland, Oregon. He has his own glass studio, and is making his name known with his original color mixes and sculptural glass combined with metal. He will be at R. Grey Gallery on First Thursday, November 4th from 5-9pm for an artist reception. There will be new glass pieces by Cheyenne, as well as new work from a variety of our artists. This is a show you don’t want to miss!
Boise Weekly’s Reader’s Choice Best of Boise 2010 is out and R. Grey Gallery came away with 1st place in the category of “Best Local Jewelry Store.”
